Brittney Reese and Kara Winger Join TrackTown USA as Event Group Ambassadors

Track and field greats Brittney Reese and Kara Winger have teamed up with TrackTown USA for the 2024 outdoor track and field season, serving as the organization’s official Jumps Ambassador and Throws Ambassador, respectively.

A four-time Olympian, Olympic gold medalist, and eight-time World Champion, Brittney Reese made her mark as one of the most dominant long jumpers in women’s track and field history and now serves as a track and field coach in her hometown of Gulfport, Miss. A fellow four-time Olympian, Kara Winger currently holds the American record in the javelin, set in the final year of her 18-year international career. Winger is also a World silver medalist, which she earned in 2022 at Hayward Field.

“I’m excited to announce my collaboration with TrackTown USA. They were a major part of my success while I was competing by making sure to have the crowd involved and creating an amazing environment for athletes to feel appreciated,” said Olympian Brittney Reese. “I’m grateful for their support post-career, and how they are working with me and other athletes to create different revenue opportunities and ways to support the next generation of track and field athletes.”

“TrackTown USA’s dedication to showcasing all parts of our great sport is so exciting to be a part of! There is truly something for everyone in track and field. I’m giddy to help tell stories of amazing throwers and to serve their devoted fans in this pivotal year,” said Olympian Kara Winger.

Through the ambassadorship, Reese and Winger will create content and provide enhanced in-person experiences for the jumps and throws communities around key events during the 2024 outdoor track and field season. Fans can expect to see Reese and Winger on the TrackTown USA digital channels previewing key match-ups, hosting virtual watch parties, and creating content with fans’ favorite field event athletes.

At both this year’s Prefontaine Classic and the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field, Reese and Winger will be on-site at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon to engage both youth in the sport and the field event fan bases more deeply than ever before.

“TrackTown USA is committed to providing a top-notch experience for everyone who visits Hayward Field and to nurturing fandom overall,” said TrackTown USA CEO Michael Reilly. “By working with Brittney and Kara, we’re ensuring that the communities who love these field events are getting an elevated experience and content that caters to their specific interests in the sport.”
