EUGENE, Ore. – It is with great pleasure and pride that I announce that I will hereby be representing Greece, where I am a dual citizen by birth, in international competition.

I am also proud to continue training in Eugene and continue representing Nike, TrackTown USA and the Oregon Track Club Elite as I compete in the Hellenic uniform. This is a decision I have made with the support of my family, my coach Ian Dobson and my sponsors, manager and role models in the sport, many of whom are Olympians themselves.

Taking big steps to grow has always expanded …

Alexi Pappas: The longest run

EUGENE, Ore. – The 2016 U.S. Marathon Olympic Trials will take place on Saturday. I am lucky to have the chance to be in Los Angeles to watch, as I have the honor of being the “Resident Millennial” panelist for the Millennial Running Study unveiling at the annual Running USA conference the day before the marathon.

I’ve never run a marathon. I’ve paced half of the Chicago marathon, participated in one marathon relay in Mount Desert Island (I ran one-third of the race), and I was honored to view the New York City Marathon up close this fall when I …

House of Track takes final bow

HOUSE OF TRACK     MEET #4 RESULTS

By Ben DeJarnette / TrackTown USA

PORTLAND, Ore. – The ad hoc indoor track arena at 2400 NW Front Avenue will return to anonymity on Tuesday night, when the 200-meter oval track it housed will begin to be broken into 1,400 pieces and then transported to the Oregon Convention Center for next month’s USATF Indoor Championships and IAAF World Indoor Championships.

But before blending back into its industrial surroundings in northwest Portland, the city’s rags-to-riches warehouse still has four days to call itself the House …
