Top athletes sign contract extensions for 2017 TrackTown Summer Series

Seven of the world’s best track and field athletes have agreed to contract extensions with their respective teams in the highly acclaimed  TrackTown Summer Series.

The elite men and women who have signed on for a second season of competition with teams representing the cities of New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco are as follows:

NEW YORK:

Brittney Reese (long jump) Emma Coburn (1500m) Queen Harrison (100m hurdles)

Note: Queen Harrison has been traded to New York. In exchange, Portland will receive one of New York’s first-round draft picks.

PAC-12 Day Two Recap

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men’s and women’s track and field teams put the finishing touches on a decade of dominance at the Pac-12 Championships before a crowd of 6,778 at Hayward Field on Sunday.

The UO men claimed its 11th consecutive conference title – and 18th overall – with a total of 175 points. The Duck women, meanwhile, rolled to their ninth straight crown with 189 points.

Both win streaks, including nine Pac-12 sweeps in a row, are unprecedented in league history.

EUGENE, Ore. – There were few surprises on the first day of competition at the 2017 Pac-12 Track & Field Championships before a crowd of 5,002 at Hayward Field on Saturday.

EUGENE, Ore. – Just like elite running, which takes the support of coaches, loved ones, massage therapists and teammates to bring an athlete to his or her highest peaks, an indie film also requires an entire network of support to reach its audience.
