TrackTown USA earned five nominations for the 2026 Hashtag Sports Awards, with fan voting open through May 25

TrackTown USA has earned five nominations in the 2026 Hashtag Sports Awards.

The organization was recently recognized with five nominations in the eighth edition of the international awards competition, which honors the industry’s top content, campaigns, and entertainment experiences that are shaping fan engagement, culture, and creativity across sports.

Fans can vote for TrackTown USA and The Prefontaine Classic in the categories below. Voting is open through Monday, May 25 with winners set to be announced June 2 in New York City.

The Prefontaine Classic is the world's best professional invitational track & field meet, as scored by the sport's global governing body World Athletics. Originally created in 1975 as a living memorial to distance running legend Steve Prefontaine, the 2025 edition of the meet celebrated its 50th running. From a sold-out crowed, to two world records, to dozens of Pre Classic alumni recognized -- the 50th edition was one for the history books.

Road to TrackTown

Debuting in 2023, "Road to TrackTown" is a weekly, digital-first docuseries that follows the journey of track and field’s best athletes towards top-level competitions at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.

For the 2025 season, the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field served as the qualifying event for American athletes to make Team USA for the World Championships in Tokyo.

The 2025 season of "Road to TrackTown" followed Olympic gold medalist Masai Russell, double Olympic bronze medalist Jasmine Moore, Olympian Heather MacLean, and World Champion Laulauga Tausaga as they competed to represent their country at the World Championships.
